Sony makes move to fight piracy

LINK

To sum up the situation so you dont need to read a 500 page thread, sony's latest 3.50 update (i believe) causes the majority of third party usb peripherals to not work with a ps3 ever again.
Apparently this also means the majority of Mad Catz controllers. This is in response to the 10-15 new types of third party  ps3 jailbreaking usb drives being released into the market.

What does this mean? I can only assume the backlash will be HUGE. To speculate, there will need to be dealings between mad catz and sony. And possibly changes in policy after the shit hits the fan. Its still brewing, so its not into the press yet. Most do not know. The majority of press junkies own 360s because they are casuals, and they only review 360 games. I can assume also many gaming news outlets will report on this later.

What feature is next to be removed by sony?
